BIO FILTERS.

In recent years the environment issues relating to pollution have become more well known. Hence the need for the installation of sewerage treatment plants, which once installed, deal with domestic waste by means of a sludge holding tank. The effluent from the waste is treated by BIO Filters which can then be discharged into water courses, rivers, streams, ditches etc. (subject to a discharge consent from the relevant agency).

CESSPOOLS

Cesspools are temporary sewerage containment solutions and need regular emptying and disposal, typically at monthly intervals.

SEPTIC TANKS

These are similar to cesspools, except that a septic tank attempts to process sewage by allowing sewage to settle out and become partly digested via natural bio-processes. A soakaway system is needed for the discharge of the liquid effluent, which can be a problem in certain areas. Periodic emptying is still required.
